Recreation, Transportation, Fun! (in Savannah, GA)
Level terrain, great weather and tree lined streets: A great town for bicycles. So it would seem, though we face obstacles to riding every day-poorly maintained bikeways, lack of appropriate parking, aggressive motorists, uninformed police. No other group in Savannah is working primarily to advocate for the rights of cyclists, nor indeed to promote the bicycle as an efficient alternative to motorized transportation. These are our goals, and we hope that you will join us.

After tremendous response, the outreach program merited a location of its own. In May 1988, only a year later, the Tybee Island Marine Science Center opened its doors.
